Era Contour welcomes VKC Zoetermeer04 Nov 2013
On Tuesday the 21th of May, Era Contour and CONIX RDBM Architects welcomed a delegation of the association Vrienden van Kunst en Cultuur Zoetermeer. Their visit was part of their annual program, with this year’s theme the art of the architect.
As one their business friends, VKC Zoetermeer wanted to visit the new building of Era contour for its contemporary architecture and unique interior design. Because the translation of the idea is part of the craftsmanship of the architect, VKC asked us to explain the concept behind the building and the interior.
After welcoming the visitors of Zoetermeer, the director of Era Contour, Rudolph van den Bergh, started the presentation by briefly introducing his company and mission, but devoted most of his time in explaining Era’s new way of working, aimed at co-creation and characterized by flexible working spots and knowledge distribution at all levels.
Next, representing CONIX RDBM Architects, Christine Conix and Walter van Driessche, former partner of RDBM and company member of honor, explained how our contextual approach supported Era’s new way of working and dynamic corporate culture. Conceived around a central atrium, the central heart of the building links all floors through the concept of split-levels, contributing in this way to an optimal communication between all departments. In order to optimize the new working method, all of these split-levels have its own color, and correlate with a specific type of task.
Afterwards, everyone could have a look for his own and experience the creative concept behind Era Contour’s office. We wish to thank Era and VKC Zoetermeer for this pleasant event.
