Implementation of BIM with Revit09 Jan 2014
CONIX RDBM Architects does not only want to be innovative in its architecture, but also in its working process. Information and communication technology will become more and more part of our office-DNA. The use of BIM and its supporting software Revit are an important step in this new way of working.
BIM, an acronym for Building Information Management, is an integrated process allowing professionals to visualize and explore a building before it is actually built. An important aspect of the BIM-process is its supporting software Revit, a virtual and intelligent 3D-model of the project, which signals potential conflicts in an early phase, optimizes the communication with everybody involved in the project and reduces failure costs.
Together with the external partners C3A and BIMplan, respectively responsible for the Revit-training and the in-house implementation, we wrote a fine article on how we implemented BIM during our VUB-project and how we reflected on this transition.
